I'm a New York-based Taiwanese-American designer who loves people-watching, empathizing with human stories, and creating aesthetically pleasing designs.

To me, good design connects human intuition with delightful experiences, understanding how people think in big decisions and small, forgettable moments is what makes our work meaningful.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is Claire available to work full-time?

I'm currently pursuing my Master's Degree in Information Experience Design at Pratt Institute, with an expected graduation date of May 2026. Before that, I am free to work part-time or full-time, with Thursday afternoon off for coursework.

Is Claire authorized to work in the United States?

Yes! I am a US citizen born in California and raised in Taiwan since I was 6.

Is Claire more of a Researcher or Designer?

I do both! I bring solid user research and testing skills alongside experienced design and iterations, so I can contribute across research, design, and product refinement phases.

Does Claire provide freelance services?

Yes! I provide branding, visual design, UX consulting, user testing, and UI/UX design services. I tailor projects to your needs, aiming to deliver impact-driven results. For more information, please contact me at happythings169@gmail.com

Is Claire willing to relocate?

I’m willing to relocate for a role that’s a great fit, especially with relocation support or competitive compensation, though New York is still my top pick.

What's it like searching for product design roles right now?

Right now, the market definitely feels competitive... There are so many talented designers and higher expectations for both research and strategic thinking. However, as a master’s student, I’m excited by how much the industry values user-centered design, and I’m using this process to refine my portfolio and grow in both research and design craft.
