Claire possesses the unique combination of 3 excellent qualities: (1) Communication, (2) Humility, and (3) Polish. As a jr. member of our team, Claire accepted the incredibly daunting task of building a training course for one of the most well-respected educational institutions in the field of UX: Nielsen Norman Group. She balanced this with being a very busy student in a difficult program. Here's how her strengths were manifested:
(1) Communication - As soon as she started feeling stretched for time in a given week, I could count on a Slack message from Claire explaining exactly what she had gotten done, how it affected the project, and what she planned to do next. My response was almost always some form of "sounds good!" because I never needed to get in and tell her what to do. She already knew and shared it with me.
(2) I pushed Claire very hard to hold her thinking to the NN/G standard of training. This was a stretch for her because she was learning about the subject as she taught it. It would have been easy for me to just say, "yes, that's fine. It's good enough." But I knew Claire could handle the critiques and respond. Claire was always willing (and even, eager!) to take the feedback and make improvements. There was never the slightest disappointment or frustration shown toward me because I felt that Claire was as committed to high quality as I was.
(3) What Claire creates, she creates with flair. I don't need to worry about needing to fix up or refine her outputs. She's already done that last check for professionalism and cleanliness.
Hire Claire. You won't regret it. She won't disappoint you. I have no hesitation in saying that. In fact, I miss working with her!

Claire is absolutely phenomenal to work with. Her drive, ambition, and willingness to jump headfirst into new challenges are something I admire about working with her. There are very few people willing to put in as much work as I've seen her do, even as an intern with us at NN/G. She is always learning, growing, and even teaches me a few things from time to time!
